We had the good fortune of moving my mother into The Waters in 2020 (in the middle of the pandemic surge!). Our family has been truly impressed with the Waters and everyone who works there. After 5 years of trying to get her to move here from out of town, my 90 year old mother is so happy at the Waters that she said she wished she’d done it five years ago. This is a huge endorsement! At a time when there were so may adjustments and protocols to establish in order to keep everyone safe, and the staff at the Waters made it all feel comfortable and seamless. After having to cancel so may of their community events and traditions, they really went out of their way to continue to celebrate, engage, and help residents feel connected. Even the way they rolled out the Covid vax process so smooth and fun for everyone. You’re team really goes the extra mile and it shows. I’m happy my mother is in good hands and has been given a new lease on life. I highly recommend this sunny happy place for loved ones needing to transition to a care facility that fosters a lot of independence. We feel very fortunate that our mom was able to live at the Waters. We selected the Waters as a family because of its focus on wellbeing and its great reputation. The Waters came highly recommended from a trusted friend. Mom started in senior living for about a year and then transitioned to specialty care for the duration. Our mom was a nurse who was incredibly independent and loved to walk and be part of a community. She had dementia. The staff held regular care conferences with us to hear directly from mom about her wishes and then we would work together to honor them while also ensuring she was safe. The staff were amazing and many took a personal interest in mom. They involved her in a nurses group and would take her out walking as just a few examples. It was important to our mom that she be recognized as a person first and not have her disease define her. Thank you Waters team for your partnership and support of mom and our family.
